Returns Policy
We hope you love your Away That Day purchase, however if you would like to return your item(s), you have 28 days from the date your order was delivered.
Please note, all items must be returned unworn and in their original packaging, with tags and hygiene liners intact. We are unable to accept returns for garments that show signs of wear such as make-up, deodorant, or fake tan stains.
All items are eligible for either a refund or exchange, excluding Gift Cards which are non-refundable - though please note, Gift Cards do not expire and can be used at any time.
Only purchases made directly through awaythatday.com are eligible for return or exchange. Items purchased via stockists must be returned to the original retailer.
How to Return
To request a return or exchange, please use our online returns portal and follow the steps on the screen.
Once a return has been submitted via the above portal, the item(s) must be received in our warehouse within 14 days.
We cannot accept returned items from multiple orders in the same package, and only items selected via the returns portal may be returned.
Please note, the customer is responsible for the cost of return postage. We recommend using a Tracked and Signed delivery service, and retaining proof of postage.
International Returns
If you’re returning an order from outside the United Kingdom, please follow these additional steps:
- Mark your parcel clearly with “BRITISH RETURNED GOODS” and mark all items at zero value on your invoice and label. This prevents import duty or customs fees on your return.
- Include your order number as a reference on your shipping label and place your contact details inside the parcel.

Use a tracked service so you can confirm when we’ve received your parcel.
Important: Away That Day is not responsible for import charges, duties or taxes on international orders. If you refuse delivery due to customs fees, we reserve the right to deduct both-way shipping costs from your refund.
Refunds & Exchanges
Once we received and approved your return, please allow up to five working days for the refund or exchange to be processed. Following this, you will receive a notification confirming the refund or exchange has been issued.
All refunds will be issued against original payment method.
Exchanges depend on stock availability and can only be made for the same style in a different size or colour of equal value. If you wish to exchange your item for a higher-value style, we will issue a refund for your original purchase so that you can place a new order. Away That Day will cover the postage cost of sending your exchanged item; however, return postage remains the responsibility of the customer.
If your return is urgent, please contact info@awaythatday.com with your order number and we will do our best to expedite your request. Please note, this may not be possible during peak sales periods.
